In 2017, AppLearn experienced significant growth within the Digital Adoption market, prompting the need to establish a new set of branding principles as part of a planned brand refresh.
I was commissioned to define a new brand direction for the company, including the development of comprehensive brand guidelines to support a newly crafted logomark and colour palette.
The guidelines also outlined best practice for out-of-home applications and the consistent use of the brand across company social media channels.
Creating Stronger Sell-In Tools
AppLearn required a redesign of its in-house sell-in tools to support the commercial and sales teams with a clearer, more focused, and brand-led presentation.
The tools were rebuilt from the ground up using the newly implemented brand direction, incorporating updated brand photography and a refined visual language. Micro-animations and clear, structured messaging were used to support and reinforce the key points being communicated to prospective clients.
The final toolkit enabled the commercial team to tailor presentations to individual clients, allowing them to tell a more relevant and compelling story for each audience.
A Refreshed Web Experience
Following the relaunch of the Applearn brand identity, the website was redesigned to reflect a more contemporary visual style.
The site was built with efficiency at its core, focusing on a clear, intuitive user experience while maintaining a confident tone of voice that positioned the brand as a leader in its field. I introduced a number of UI patterns inspired by software onboarding, helping users navigate the site more easily and guiding them toward the product’s key features.
Post-launch, the website achieved improved performance across speed tests and SEO metrics. User feedback highlighted clearer navigation and a stronger understanding of the company’s mission and value proposition.
